Department of Physics

Department of Physics was established in the year 2016 by admitting its first batch in BS, four years’ program. The first intake comprised of 30 students, having F.Sc degree with major subjects Mathematics and Physics. MSc. Physics was introduced in the year 2019 by admitting its first batch of 6 students with major subjects Math A and Physics in B.Sc. After this according to HEC new policy no more students were admitted in M.Sc. program. In the current year the department has three batches of BS; 7th semester, 4th semester and 2nd semester. Department intends to take more students in BS program. Unfortunately, department could not start its MS and PhD program as none of the currently present faculty is PhD.

We seek to impart education in fields which are essential for the technological development of Pakistan and, in particular, to play a pioneering role in developing the establishment of educational programs in newly emerging technological fields in the country. We aim to provide a learning environment that fully stimulates the students’ intellectual capabilities and also nurtures their personal development as future technical leaders. We are committed to ensuring the highest quality in all over endeavors, encompassing teaching, research, skills and developmental activities through an effective overarching quality enhancement framework.

It is the vision of Physics department to be recognized at the national level as an institute of Academic excellence with high moral and ethical values, providing interaction between scientific research and technological development for national security and socio-economic benefits, encouraging and raising an environment of mutual respect and free exchange of thoughts, were lack of resources on part of deserving students is not an impediment to acquiring quality education.
