Department Of Home Sciences
The former chancellor of SBK Women's University, governor of Baluchistan M. Owais Ghani, and the founding former vice chancellor of SBK Women's University, Dr. Shahida Jaffery gave the idea of finishing school for women. The department was established in 2004. Baluchistan is the largest province of Pakistan, rich in cultural heritage and diversity. The SBKWU, the first women's university in Baluchistan, focuses on empowering women through technical skills training. The institution has introduced unique courses to empower women and is planning to offer a wide range of technical courses to connect with the national and international markets. In a meeting held in 2007, the department "Finishing School" was approved as a regular department and was named "Finishing School Oasis of Roses." The institution changed its name to "Home Sciences" as it expands into entrepreneurship.
